Montezuma’s Real Chocolate Club Review

So Christmas is over the goose was indeed fat, I think I may be a little rounder but not much as I have been carefully maintaining the fabulous weight loss I achieved last year.
Also I like to give myself a little leeway for treats as my favourite time of the year is now a few weeks away.
Valentines!!!

Yes I know here I go again,  I will not bombard you with all my hearts and flowers pictures, but I will bombard you with chocolate, not just any chocolate but gourmet chocolate that will come sliding through your door for Valentines, Easter, birthdays or any other occasion that demand this sweet delight!

Oh and if I was ever going to receive a sweet treat through my door these delicious beauties are it. The quality of the chocolate shines through. We had a very relaxed evening sampling the delights of our Montezuma's box. I have hinted heavily for the day of love in February and will not be sharing this time they are strictly mine.

Gourmet chocolate-lovers (and their friends and family) rejoice – whether it’s Christmas, Valentine’s or a birthday, there’s a new and perfect gift – membership of Montezuma’s Real Chocolate Club!

The innovative British firm has created a fantastic ‘chocolate by post’ concept – one that requires no signature (or inconvenient trips to the post office) as it comes in a nifty box that simply slips through the letterbox!

For just £19.99 pcm (inc. postage), a whopping 600g of delicious chocolate bars and truffles will land on the doormat.

People can sign up – or be signed up – for just one month, but a year’s subscription works out at only £4.99/week. There’s no obligation or ‘catch’ and there are 3 options of membership – Rolling, Fixed Length Personal or Fixed Length Gift.

In each box, there’s 3 different flavoured bars, plus 3 individual sets of truffles – exciting new creations that recipients will be the first to taste, before they go into the shops…if at all!

Each month sees the Montezuma’s team dream up new flavours – often inspired by a particular ‘foodie’ theme. November’s box had a strong ‘pudding’ angle to it, featuring an Eton Mess truffle; an apple crumble and milk chocolate truffle; as well as a dark chocolate lemon meringue truffle. These were complemented by a beautifully rounded milk chocolate bar with salted peanuts and butterscotch; a treacle tart milk chocolate bar and a dark chocolate one with orange and whole hazelnuts.

The Christmas and Valentine’s editions will similarly be as inventive and tasty - and the voyage of discovery can obviously continue for as long, or short, a time as people wish.

As well as for special occasions, the Real Chocolate Club makes for a perfect dinner party gift, a Book Club offering, or even just a regular, indulgent, treat!

As an ethical company, Montezuma’s don’t overload the boxes with unnecessary packaging or leaflets; each being 100% recyclable or compostable.
