On Twitter Ive just been discussing the fact with tweet friends that summer was sadly lacking this year. I have gazed forlornly this weekend at all the summer dresses that really did not get a peek out of the wardrobe.
But I've sulked enough now and am moving onto one of my favourite seasons autumn, I have some wonderful features coming up too. I've some fab food products and kitchen gadgets coming up for review in the next couple of weeks, so every cloud as they say.... and boy have we had a lot of those!
With regards to meals and the kitchen I've begun to think of warming foods and hearty fare that will feed an army my family!
Paige and Con are hard studying this year, Chris now travelling further to his new job, so nobody gets home for lunch. Sandwiches aren't the best on cold days even if you are snuggled up inside.
When Heinz asked me to try the new Squeeze & Stir the next generation of cup soups, I knew that if they were anything like any Heinz soup they would be good not only in taste but in ease of preparation.
Unlike previous soups made in a mug, these are purees, not the traditional dry powders.
Heinz tell me all you need is a kettle, mug and spoon!
Well I had the kettle and the spoon, Heinz provided the soup and rather sweetly the mug.
You simply tear the pack and squeeze the puree into your favourite mug, add just enough boiling water to cover the contents and stir thoroughly before topping up with more boiling water. Stir again and sit back and enjoy!
