I was pretty stunned when I read that the average UK household produces 12 litres of unwanted humidity per day, at first i didnt think it possible but I know that if I don't have the bathroom window open as far as it can go and the extractor on I have a soggy bathroom. This is a very chilly option in winter so when Unibond offered me a Humidity Absorber I glady said yes.
It has sat in the bathroom collecting lots of water and I can believe the figures quoted above I've had a fair amount of liquid collected, its simple to pour away the drops of moisture that are collected. i just tip down the loo.
While they are are on offer ( See below) I am going to grab another one for downstairs now too.
Excess moisture can lead to condensation, mould, increased allergens in the air and musty-smelling rooms.
Available in two sizes, the Humidity Absorbers can reduce the amount of humidity in a room by up to 30 per cent. The device includes Power Tabs that use 2in1 technology allowing it to absorb the excess humidity in the air and neutralise bad odours.
The Power Tabs convert the humidity in the air into a salty solution that can be seen in as little as 24 hours as droplets collecting in the device’s tank. The tabs last for an average of six to eight weeks and the solution can be easily poured away into a drain or toilet through the specially designed spout.
The large device pack, which includes two 450g Power Tabs, is ideal for 20m2 rooms, such as kitchens and living rooms. The smaller device works for rooms that are up to 10m2 and comes with two 300g Power Tabs.
To stop any leakages, the devices include an anti-spill system and a security clip to make sure that it closes shut tightly. The absorbers are safe to use anywhere in your home and should be kept out of reach of children and pets.
The Humidity Absorbers and Power Tab refills are available from all leading home stores and supermarkets.
To help you to battle humidity easily, UniBond are running a special introductory half-price offer until December 2011 on both the large and small Humidity Absorber packs in a selection of stores.
