My passion for citrus has been rewarded yet again with the new Jme' Luscious Marmalade. The Jamie Oliver’s artisan food range has launched the new Luscious Marmalade, made with the freshest Spanish lemons and limes and it was the opportunity this weekend to get a big rustic loaf and well, just get tucked in.
One fascinating fact I read was that marmalade does not appeal to most Brits, in fact I am one of only 7% of Brits who still eats it for breakfast. What are the other 93% doing missing out on this citrusy treat!. Paddington would be horrified!!
I go through jars of orange unshredded and lime jelly and thought it was the same for others.

So with this dearth of marmalade lovers, it seems like the perfect time to launch a new marmalade and Jamie Oliver has certainly made one that could bring the interest back.
With a pot of butter, a Pain Rustique and the Jme' Luscious marmalade so began my lazy Sunday breakfast.
I really enjoyed the tart taste, toned down by sweetness, its thick but a little runny, which suits me fine, I found that it becomes quite set after refrigeration, so I take it out before serving to keep the consistency I prefer.
So in my family at least the percentages have shifted a little, not sure how I feel as marmalade has been a safe product to put in the fridge and it remain.
Seriously I hope this becomes a hit for others and I look forward to new varieties in the future.
The Jme Luscious Marmalade is available at large John Lewis stores, www.johnlewis.com and all good speciality retailers.
