Ariel carried out a survey and a 10th of British women have admitted to intentionally ruining one of their partner’s items of clothes just because they didn’t like it, and a ¼ of British men and women frequently ask their partners to change their outfits because they’re embarrassed to be seen with them.
The new ads on TV are hilarious, the golfer and his wife in a series of sketches where his wife tries to rid herself of his garish outfits. She says she had hoped they would fade but Ariel does its job so well she is stuck with them, so comes up with ways to rid herself of the embarrassment!
Sound familiar?
I have a certain look I give Chris, I used to ask " Are you going out in that?" but we have been together so long, the look now says it all!
He can be sitting in the house and look really smart and for some reason when we are going out, thankfully only occasionally he will put two items together that just don't go, either by colour or style. I am not alone in my disapproval, British women feel so strongly about a man’s dress sense that 60% reported clothes are the number one dating deal breaker, followed in second place by a suitor’s haircut (17%) and style of shoes (9%)
I have no need to confess ruining or throwing an item out, its never occurred to me to do it, though the thought has crossed my mind. I will admit to hiding a gruesome T shirt right at the bottom of his drawer as he tends to take clothes from the top of the pile.
Ariel sent me a goody bag containing a Lie Detector test game to play with my friends to find out whether they are guilty of intentionally ruining their partner’s clothes or not? That will be fun on a night with couples. Also £20 of John Lewis vouchers so I can treat my partner to a new top ofhis my choice, as well as trusty Ariel detergent and Ariel Stain Remover to keep his outfits looking squeaky clean.
But Ariel also thought that my readers might like to come clean and confess any of their clothes hates or sins.
