Masterchef Kitchen Bible Review

I think there are a lot of Masterchef fans out there , I watch it avidly, I often tweet my thoughts on a dish at the same time and scores of people are also tweeting away. I have the books, visit Masterchef Live at the Good Food Shows twice a year so when I was offered the chance to review The Masterchef Bible, I couldn't wait to get a hold of it.
Its a beast of a book, one to spend hours poring over. From the inside cover giving weights and measurements to the inside back cover giving 'Foods in Season' its crammed with useful advice.

Lots of photos, show how to prepare fish for instant from filleting and grilling to making a batter for fish. These tips and advice are given by Masterchef winners and judges.
The first section is Modern Classic Recipes as a relatively good cook I love this back to basics and cooking good dishes that we all know well but forget how to cook correctly sometimes. Cheese Souffle, chips, Beouf Bourguignon, Roast Chicken Steak and Kidney Pie, over 160 pages of recipes and how to choose cut and prepare foods.
The second section is the Masterchef recipes. All those inspired dishes that amazed me and gobsmacked the judges. Tim Kinnaird's Exploding Lemon Meringues Lisa Faulkener's Goat's Cheese and Red Onion Tart, and so many divine recipes.

The final section is huge, its perhaps the most useful as its how to do just about everything you may need to know in the kitchen, roasting peppers, chickens, cooking the perfect steak and this one really is great advice.
How to choose and prepare herbs, the tools needed to do all these. I have a new list of utensils I need after reading through this section! Chris is groaning!
Here is a snippet of the book and its not nearly enough to describe just how good this kitchen Bible really is.
The price of £26 really is a bargain when you see the size. It is indeed the weightand size of  one of those family hefty bibles.
I will be reading and using thei book for years and passing it along I imagine.
