Closed Loch Fyne For Him Gift Box Giveaway ends 30th June

The Loch Fyne business started life as a small oyster bar on the banks of the loch – a venture by Johnny Noble, the owner of the Ardkinglas Estate on the west coast of Scotland, and his colleague Andy Lane – a fish farmer and biologist.

Both men were oyster enthusiasts, and they began by growing oysters in the loch and selling them to restaurants all over the UK. They then opened their own oyster bar in 1988 and, as the restaurant’s reputation grew, tourists from all over the UK commented on how popular the concept would be ‘back home’.

In 1990 the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar opened in Nottingham and two years later in Elton, near Peterborough right near where I live. If you have eaten in one you will have had a glorious meal.

The business has just grown and grown and  if you are not near one of the 44 restaurants you can also  buy buy online. Loch Fyne Direct have a range of delicious seafood and larder products delivered directly to your door from the shores of Loch Fyne.

As well as a selection of recipe ideas that you might be interested in , they also have a range of gift boxes and picnic boxes. keep an eye out for a review and a lovely recipe is here too
