Guylian review for Valentines Day

Seahorses, chocolate and Valentine's day can only mean Guylian and all are loved in our house.
There are a few lovely heart shaped gifts this year made by Guylian, but first I need to sidetrack a little about seahorses, not much though as Guylian are as passionate about them also.

We were lucky enough to see seahorses in Cornwall in the Blue Reef Aquarium, they are also found in the sea and even the Helford river.

Everyone knows that hearts symbolise romance and love, but so do seahorses. These beautiful creatures are certainly a fitting Valentine’s image as they engage in intense courtship dances during which they turn bright pink, orange or yellow.

Guylian's new Sea Horse shape has particularly romantic connotations as Sea Horses are one of the only sea mammals that mate for life.

Guylian's name also epitomises romance itself, with it being a combination of the names of the founding couple Guy and Lilian.

For Chris and I, our choice would be the Guylian Seahorse shape to share on Valentine's day, Guylian very kindly sent me a box. Chris loves the praline taste, I love the shape and marbling effect and the chocolate that just melts in the mouth. Its a quality tasting chocolate, made for sharing and nibbling!

Don't forget to take a look at the Guylian Seahorse project, it would be a shame to lose these magical loving creatures form our seas.

For Valentine’s Day 2012 the world’s favourite Belgian chocolatier has made aa fusion of romance and delectably mouth watering chocolates that will win over even the hardest of hearts.

Guylian Belgian Chocolate Seashells
The well loved classic gets a romantic twist for Valentine’s Day. Made from the finest West African cocoa beans and filled with melt-in-your-mouth roasted hazelnut praline, each heavenly Guylian seashell is lovingly crafted from a blend of delicious white, milk and dark Belgian
chocolate (rrp £3.99 for 250g)

Guylian I Love You

Individually wrapped in luxurious golden foil within an eye catching red box, these romantic heart shaped chocolates, filled with roasted hazelnut praline are the perfect way to say ‘I Love You’ this Valentine’s Day. The 50g box (rrp £1.32) which contains four praline filled hearts is the ideal love token, whilst the 125g heart shaped box (pictured. rrp £3.99) makes a more substantial Valentine’s Day present.

Guylian’s Valentine’s Day chocolates are available from all major supermarkets and selected independent stores nationwide.
