Mrs Crimbles National Macaroon Day – 31st May 2012

Mmmm I got the chance to nibble on some soft Mrs Crimble's Choc Macaroons as a little early celebration of National Macaroon day, I had not heard of the day but any chance to eat one of these is good for me. They are moist, light, sweet, chewy, on top of this gluten free. this in no way means taste free.

Mrs Crimble’s, Britain’s best-loved bakery brand, sells a Choc Macaroon every second – officially making them the nation’s favourite!  If you haven’t tried one already, why not pick up a pack and celebrate on National Macaroon Day on 31st May?

Although National Macaroon Day was originally celebrated in America, coconut macaroons were a British invention and the average Brit eats more macaroons than a typical American, so if anyone should be celebrating – it’s us!

‘Our Choc Macaroons have become a huge success story,’ explains Jeremy Woods, Mrs Crimble’s Head Honcho. ‘People love them because they are indulgent enough to feel like a real treat and substantial enough to keep the wolf from the door. Best of all, they can be enjoyed by everyone as they are deliciously gluten free.’
