Maggi Fresh Ideas’ Review

Yesterday was really chilly, Chris was very poorly, Paige on her way home from a few days away. Granny and I wanted to sit and watch a good film, so I decided on a nice warming casserole to welcome them back.

Maggi have sent me some fab new recipe mixes from their Fresh Ideas range.
I settled on the Beef and Ale Casserole, the great bonus of the meals are they are three easy steps to make a  real heartwarming meal.

1.Fry the meat and veg

2 Make up the Maggi mix with water. Mix in and cook.

 3. Serve

I decided to use the slow cooker for this meal, it meant I could put it on for a good few hours and settle down to keep Granny company. I also added mushrooms as I had some that needed using up.

The result was a really tasty stew, now I usually make my own beef stews and was pleased that the Maggi sauce tasted fresh and flavoursome.
It was far easier than even my simple stews and not having to think about it was a real boon.

I will certainly be trying the other new recipe mixes.
