Lavazza A Modo Mio Review

When the Lavazza A Modo Mio arrived their was a great deal of excitement, it has to be said this was most expressed by Chris. He actually rubbed his hands with glee.

He completely took over unwrapping and setting up. I was content to let him as he is the biggest coffee fan in our house. There were lots of oohs and ahhs akin to the little green aliens on Toy Story! It was very amusing.

Now I say set up but it was minutes before a cup of espresso was waiting, poor Chris had to make do with a small tea mug,we hadn't any little cups, but he made an Americano the first time.

Then we spent most of the weekend looking for espresso cups, settling on the gorgeous ones seen above.
Chris said and if he was a reviewer his posts would be two lines more or less.
Its easy, really good and sounds just as if we are in a good coffee shop.

He also amused me somewhat as friends were invited in just to view the machine and it must be a man thing, they all were cooing as if it was a new car or DIY tool.

Between us our verdict were the same, the Lavazza A Modo Mio looks fabulous, a sleek and retro look, simplicity to use and we adore it. it comes in a fabulous range of colours, ours I have to say is the best for me.

A stunning bright yellow, its very appealing, this model is a limited edition available only in Selfridges and online it makes me so cheerful just walking into the kitchen and it has received a comment from everybody who enters the room.

Onto the workings. There is a water tank at the back, which if I have kept topped up with water, its easy to have that needed cup of fresh coffee within moments. It takes under a minute to heat up the water which impressed me, I can also use it for tea. The Steam arm is the impressive addition and works well.

It came with a lovely range of coffees which we now have worked through. See further down for all the roasts.

To get that cup of coffee, I pop a capsule in the slot, pull down the lever, press the coffee button and the coffee comes through, the empty capsule drops into a tray which is drip proof and you simply empty and clean. It can't get any simpler! The tray that seats the cup also turns upside down to fit a larger cup.

The Lavazza A Modo Mio then does one more thing, its providing us with incredible high quality cups of coffee. If you love Lavazza, you already know you are in for a treat. They all were beautiful blends, I got my medium and smooth blends loving a big mug of frothy creamy coffee, the, Chris was happy with the dark roasts and espresso shots.

My only problem has been wanting to buy more coffee and not being able to source it in stores. I can buy online though.

I cannot imagine being without the Lavazza A Modo Mio it looks fabulous, is great for an evenings entertaining, or a lazy Sunday morning with the papers.
