Kitchen Devils Really Cut It For Father's Day

When I was first with Chris I was slightly alarmed on our first ever trip to a department store, he wandered around looking at all sorts with me and then he said in a tone rather Homer Simpson when he sees food and says in that obsessive type voice "Mmmm doughnuts!" Except Chris purred the word Knives!

He went to the shelf and started to look lovingly at the sets and I must admit to thinking "Serial Killer!"  he gazed lovingly at them and I resisited the urge to run!! Since then he explains  he loves kitchen gadgets they interest him but most of all knives. I worry less as I have visited enough Ideal Home and BBC Good Food show to see that it is a tool handled lovingly by many people.

Chris has an old steel and sharpens our motley selection of knives regularly to keep them sharp,  but always says "I must get a decent set of knives one day!" when I said that perhaps he may like to try out the Kitchen Devils he was like a child in a sweet shop,  clapping his hands excitedly...really!!

They arrived and I allowed him the honour of unveiling them, he looked at them in the boxes for a good while I think not knowing which one he wanted to pick  and use first. We got them all out so we could have a good look at them.

The first thing that is so different about these knives from our sets are the handles, they are just so comfortable to hold. Each one feels soft and molds well into my tiny hands but also into Chris's  large hands.

Chris said the carving knife on a joint of lamb was like cutting into butter, we also have tried on a roast chicken and it held each slice well, cutting cleanly through.

Every knife we have tried has been lovely to hold, no jarred wrist, they cut cleanly and effortlessly and have halved the time it takes to prepare veggies or dice meat.
The scissors are great for food cutting as well.
Very very impressive.

We all know that every Dad thinks he can cut it in the kitchen - but now he really could if you were to give him one of the really sharp knives from the Kitchen Devils range for Father's Day. No more empty gesturing - now he can step up to the mark and demonstrate how good he really is with his kitchen skills with a Kitchen Devils knife in his hand but watch out, he could be dangerous!
