There is something satisfying about watching the seasons roll by, I reviewed Shloer (or as I mentioned before our family's affection nickname Shlerp!!) in winter read my review for the original flavours here now I get to review and more importantly for me sample the new limited edition variety Summer Fruit Punch.
I love punch, it reminds me of summer weddings, sunny evenings in the garden, either mine, a friends, even a beer garden. I like a big pitcher of something tasty, lots of ice and fruit and mint floating on top. It feels happy and relaxing, possibly as I have alcoholic punch! Heheh!!
Well this Shloer variety actually reminds me of a famous typically British drink for summer, its a lovely light orangey colour.
My family descended from all rooms and tried to get me to pour it out, I had just tasted it, I found it grapey but a tad weak, I felt needed a little more oomph so I went with Sloer's suggestion of adding some accompaniments
I added ice, orange wedges, strawberries and allowed them to infuse a little.
It vastly improved the flavour, i imagine the mint would even more for fans of it, I am not a lover of mint so omitted. I may try borage flowers.
For those wanting a non alcoholic dring this summer I imagine this will be perfect, I possibly would add a Grand marnier shot to it.
