Disney Sing It Family Hits Review

Well here we are with  Disney Sing It Family Hits a few days later after reading  X Factor's Celebrity Vocal Coach Yvie Burnett singing tips, we have various Wii Singing games so have microphones, which you do need.

We have warmed up the vocal chords as recommended by Yvie  by jumping about, Paige and Conor have been bribed to stick around and not die of embarrassment straight away. Although they refused to do the really energetic warm ups the rest of us did , they will regret it when I we out sing them!!

Reading the play list fills you with good memories of Disney, songs we all love and hum along to.  Nice to see there are not too many unknowns,  well I was unfamiliar with the A Bugs life Song,  I would have swapped a few for more Mary Poppins, but then we have them all on DVD and you are never going to please all of the people.

Some of my favourites are there,  so when I got hold of the microphone to sing  A Whole New Word, Katie Price, Peter Andre eat your heart out.
I am a little disappointed in the amount, it is  enough (30 tracks) to keep coming back too over and over though as you get awards for your singing so the interest to beat a high score is there,  fab if you invite different groups to have a play and despite not being a long playlist happy that its quality not quantity, but would have loved to be able to get hold of more songs .
So heres hoping for Disney Sing It 2 very soon.

Here are some of the best of the 30 tracks.

101 Dalmatians Cruella De Ville
Aladdin A Whole New World
Cinderella Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo
Cinderella So This is Love
Jungle Book The Bare Necessities
Jungle Book I Wanna Be Like You
Lady and The Tramp He's A Tramp
Lion King Can You Feel the Love Tonight
Lion King Hakuna Matata
Lion King I Just Can't Wait to be King
The Little Mermaid Under the Sea
Beauty and the Beast Be Our Guest
Cars Our Town

Cinderella A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
Monsters, Inc If I Didn't Have You
Mary Poppins Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Princess and The Frog Almost There
Princess and The Frog Dig a Little Deeper
Ratatouille Le Festin
Toy Story You've Got a Friend in Me
Peter Pan You Can Fly! You Can Fly!

The film clips as you sing along make this special, they seem even more alive than the films, the graphics are fab and as you sing along karaoke style its entertaining to watch too, once you get into the swing of following the words.
The sound is great too, really clear.

You can play solo some may have wished I had done so, you just have to sing in tune and in time, if you have played any of these singing, dancing  or Guitar Hero type games you know the drill. Its easy to use you just plug in the mike and play, go to the mode and selection you want and off you go.

Its nice to have Party Play where you can play with the family, it makes for a great Christmas game and any family or group get together.
Whats really good is the vocal coach helped along by  Anika Noni Rose, who played Princess Tania in The Princess and the Frog, you can improve your singing ability and I was most impressed with this. I think this gives a lot more confidence to younger players who may feel a bit self conscious at times singing in front of others.

All in all we had a fantastic time, collapsing in laughter at the squeaks and missed notes, loved learning a few lyrics that I was not sure of, we all thought we were Oscar performance standard by the end and it was all age entertainment. We played with age range 3 years to 56 and all said it was really good fun.
