Panda Licorice All Natural Range

We are  midway between Christmas and New Year, the cupboards and fridge are groaning under the weight still of sausage rolls, mince pies, boxes and tins of chocolates we bought and then given too.
Every year I promise I will buy less chocolate as we get bought lots of chocolatey treats and by January I am fed up with it. I always fancy something different.

Last night the making of Les Misérables 25th Anniversary show came on and I had been waiting to watch it as Chris is taking me to see it , that was my fab Christmas present. We ummed and ahhed over what to nibble on while we watched and I decided to try the Panda Raspberry Licorice as I had thoroughly been impressed with the Panda Duello chocolate  covered licorice read here

Panda Licorice has been making its delicious licorice in Finland now since 1927. All Panda Licorice is free from nasties, deliciously soft and moreish; nothing like the tough bitter stuff you might have tried as a child.

The Panda All Natural range is made with only four ingredients - molasses syrup, wheat flour, licorice extract and aniseed oil - so its an all natural healthy treat. Added to this basic recipe a little fruit puree and you’ve got Raspberry and Cherry licorice which you’ll find so addictive you’ll be fighting over the last piece!

Panda All Natural Licorice is also available in little bars, little bears or mint flavoured strips. Each is perfect as a guilt free snack for anyone watching their weight or just the health conscious - satisfy a sweet tooth without worrying about piling on the pounds.

For the mums of the nation - when the children’s weekly treat night comes around, you can rest easy that they are eating a healthier option to sugary sweets and treats, and that there won’t be an expensive trip to the dentist!

I have found yet another treat, when you open the packet the licorice scent is there they smell almost peppery, taking one from the bag, they are a natural reddish brown.
In shape  they look like little elongated flower shaped tubes  to me.  They are lovely and squidgy to feel, but to taste is the best part as I can taste raspberry licorice straight away and it works so well. They are incredibly moist and chewy, really pleasant to chew. The fruity flavour is at the forefront and I can honestly say its better for me nicer to nibble than just plain licorice, its easy to polish off more than a couple.
When you look at how natural and healthy they are this just increases the pleasure, half a bag is just 300 calories, no fat, no artificial grotties. Its sort of surprising that they are so good yet taste so good too.
Yet again Panda Licorice have surprised me.

I have joined their Facebook page and Twitter  for news and some fantastic little competitions.
