Aldis is a great place to shop this Easter, I had been eyeing up the goodies in store for a few weeks. Then they asked me to review some of the range and here is what arrived for me to sample. I have no hesitation in recommending Adi foods and having tried the chocolate products both by buying and reviewing I was certainly looking forward to tucking in.
Aldi has won hundreds of awards for its product range. They won 154 awards and accolades in 2010, including three Which? magazine ‘Best Buys’, 50 accolades at the International Wine and Spirits Challenge, six winners at The Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards, 10 Good Housekeeping Institute accreditations and 11 medals at the International Spirits Challenge. On top of this the staff are lovely in my store and its always a pleasure to see what Sunday and Thursdays new goodies are.
The highlights for me were the mini eggs at 59p a packet they were certainly way cheaper than my usual Cadbury's purchase but the quality was as good. So good in fact, I sent Chris to get more. The Marshmallows were used to top hot chocolate, Chris nabbed the Marzipan egg and murmurs of satisfaction were all I needed to know that was great too.
The prices are low, the taste of the chocolate products is high.
