Now in my house there will be no going for a walk while my porridge cools down, I stay and guard it, we are a family of porridge lovers and if I went out like the three bears did then one of my resident Three Goldilocks would nab it.and from other Jordan reviews you know I am a fan of their ranges from muesli to frusli. As you can see here I even have a Jordan's bowl for my cereals and porridge.
I was recently sent the new Jordan's Quick and Creamy porridge and the new Chunky porridge too.
The Quick and Creamy is exactly that and I added some fresh blueberries to mine, and half a teaspoon of sugar, we all have different ways of eating it in the house and different ways of making it. Chris has golden syrup on his, Paige likes banana or brown sugar. Conor anything that's going!!
We make it in the microwave in the week, but if on my own at home on less busy days or weekends, in a saucepan, there is something satisfying stirring the porridge until its thick and creamy, I use less milk than stated and as Jordan's say on the box its not an exact science.
Everyone has a slightly different way of cooking and eating their oats, so why not check out Jordans’ porridge topping ideas at http://www.jordanscereals.co.uk/. Look through the recipe section for some tasty inspiration.
Regardless of how you eat yours, rest assured that all Jordan's Porridge is made with nothing but nature friendly oats grown on British farms. Jordans’ farmers dedicate 10% of their land to wildlife where bees, birds and butterflies can thrive. Look for the Conservation Grade™ logo on the pack
The Quick and creamy certainly does what it says on the packet, if you are in a rush, in minutes you will have a warming creamy porridge just welcoming you in.
The Jordan's Chunky porridge is a lovely variety, the oats are bigger, thicker and its a more filling experience, this one is great for the cold days and I have eaten some just this morning as Jack Frost is definitely nipping at those nose and feet.
“Oats provide a range of important vitamins, minerals and nutrients, but what really makes Jordan's Traditional Chunky Porridge the perfect choice for a healthy breakfast is the fact that it is rich in soluble fibre which can help reduce high blood cholesterol levels,” comments Fiona Hunter, Nutritionist and Food Writer. “In addition, Porridge has a low Glycaemic index (GI). Low GI foods help to control blood glucose levels which can help reduce the risk of diabetes and because Jordan's Traditional Chunky Porridge provides a steady release of energy throughout the morning they also help you to feel full for longer.”
Jordan's Quick and Creamy and Traditional Chunky porridge are available fromsupermarkets nationwide, both (at a) RRP of £1.45.
