New Covent Garden Food Company just never stop with the flavour sensations and new soups, but they have just gone bigger...literally with the new Big & Bold Soups. These are a meal in a soup and the one I managed to get was so delicious I am on the hunt for the rest.
We went to Tesco to buy these, I was out of luck buying a few to try as they are on special offer at a bargain £1.49.
I did manage to get what would have been my first choice the Chunky Chicken & Vegetable Soup
Described by them as - A nutritious taste sensation, combining pieces of tender chicken, leeks, carrots, parsley and thyme – complimented with a splash of white wine and double cream to provide the perfect bowl of nourishing goodness.
First I like the pot format, its easy to open, I do like the cartons but they can get a little tricky to open at times. I could not see a recycling symbol so I did my own. I make bird food cake, so these will make good bird food feeders.
The soup still heats in the microwave so its still as easy to prepare. I was impressed with the flavour, the wine and cream blends well with thyme, one of my favourite taste combinations. Lots of chicken is nice to see and the carrots the right amount.
Its really filling, extremely tasty, perfect for this cold weather and I cannot wait to try the others.
