Jordans Super Nutty Granola

I always imagine a tumbledown shack with a weary looking US Midwest wife washing tin pots in a sink while a whole heap of children sit at the table with their Pa, she says in a drawl,  "Kids eat yer Granola y'all"

There you go that's my Super Nutty musing, (I have many let it be known). What do you mean you already knew???

Granola has been around in this country for a while I am right in that it comes from America, my location is slightly out as it was trademarked in North America. I always used to think it would be boring and tasteless maybe its the name but when you read a description " foods consisting of whole grain products crumbled and then baked until crisp consisting nuts, rolled oats, honey, rice and sometimes with dried fruits added" it starts to sound better.

Jordan's make Granola and you know this new Super Nutty addition is going to be top notch. They are just so good at cereals and with their commitment to use good natural ingredientsadded to their conservation efforts for the Brish countryside, mean we will happily always review their new products.

The bag is satisfyingly large, There are little round windows in the packet so you catch sight of the oats and when you shake or squeeze the bag you catch sight of a Brazil nut or a hazelnut, its like a cereal kaleidoscope.
I hand over the tasting to the nut in our family, namely Chris, he went straight for a handful, if it passes his snack test he may put it in a bowl.
As you already have guessed its deemed "Mmm thats bloody good, not too sweet, plenty of nuts and crunchy. Maybe too good to pour milk on"
However for reviewing its breakfast qualities he decided on Greek yogurt with fresh raspberries.

I leave him to munch as I look at what Jordan's have to say. Now it seems they are musing too as they sent me 10 nutty facts to share with you.

Ten Seriously Super Nutty Facts:
1. Sweet almonds are among the most commonly used nuts in the world and are mentioned as far back in history as the Bible

2. Almonds are one of the most nutritious of all nuts combining tons of essential nutrients in one very tasty package

3. Brazil nut trees grow to a height of 150 feet and have a trunk diameter of nearly 8 feet

4. The 3lb to 4lb pods of Brazil nuts fall to the ground when ripe, making it a pretty dangerous job for the gatherers below

5. A small mammal called an Agouti is the only animal that can open the Brazil nut’s rockhard shell

6. In a packet of muesli full of seeds, nuts and cereal, Brazil nuts always end up on top if you shake the packet

7. The hazelnut is unique in that it blooms and pollinates in the middle of winter

8. Hazelnut trees can yield nuts until they’re over 80 years old

9. Hazelnuts are the highest in fibre of all the nuts.
10. Jordans roast the hazelnuts for their granolas because it makes them nice and crunchy and helps to bring out the super nutty flavour

Back now to Chris and he says the Granola is made really pleasant with soft fruits and yogurt, it gives a nice balanced texture. He will definitely be trying it with different fruit and probably not with milk, but that's because he is not keen on milk.
NEW Jordans Super Nutty Granola is available from Waitrose, Tesco and Asda
stores nationwide at an RRP of £3.99
