Dorchester Chocolate Review - Deliciously decadent chocolates from House of Dorchester

You know its Christmas when all the chocolates and sweets appear on the shelves in various Christmas themed packaging.
I was very happy  to be  sent a tin of chocolates from House of Dorchester which far exceeds most Christmas sweet expectations.

The tin is very attractive, for me eating starts with the eyes. I expect these chocolates to be perfect with a glass of wine with the Christmas tree lights twinkling, candles burning and a good Christmas movie. The reindeer on top and the burgundy and gold colours instantly gave me that lift I get at Christmas.

This is a tin that promises luxury chocolates before you open, if you can hold off the opening, the back has pictures of the chocolates.

As you can see the selection is sumptuous, my personal favourite Violet Creme, its soft, tastes sweet and reminds of the purple little sweets.
This chocolate is not for sharing though, there is a chance to of course, as the tin holds two layers, but I would not advise sharing!!
You may actually have a job sharing or giving them away as a Christmas gift.
The creamy champagne truffles, unique raspberry caramels and all the others seen above are perfect as a Christmas gift to yourself.

House of Dorchester, the home of great British chocolates, has created a beautiful new tin of English chocolates for Christmas 2010. A deliciously decadent collection, the new tin has two layers of eight hand-crafted milk, white and dark chocolates, including a Praline Bouchee, Pistachio Mousse, Raspberry Caramel and Marc de Champagne Truffle. House of Dorchester has over 40 years of Dorset chocolatiering skill and experience and this is poured into each and every one of its chocolate creations.

“Christmas for us, started in January this year and since then our team of master chocolatiers have been working incredibly hard to create our Christmas chocolates. Our new tin combines classic award-winning recipes such as our Violet and Rose Crèmes with dessert inspired creations, Strawberry Cheesecake and Pecan Parfait. With caramels, fruits and nuts galore, our new Christmas tin is beautifully designed and full of chocolates which have been chosen for their decedent, rich and indulgent flavour,” said Jeremy Moore from House of Dorchester.

The new Christmas English collection tin joins other well-loved favourites from House of Dorchester’s seasonal range. A new Molly Brett Advent Calendar has been created for 2010 along with a new gift envelope which contains a 70g bar of House of Dorchester’s traditional chocolate.

Available in independent retailers and online at Lakeland the new Christmas English collection tin has an RRP of £9.99. The Molly Brett Advent Calendar retails at £6.99 and the gift envelope at £2.25.
