I was offered the chance to try new Wild a new range of snack foods, containing nuts, fruits and wonderful flavours
Just in time for Christmas, so keen to try something different and on arrival, the first thing that struck me was the luxury looking packs, emblazoned with wild animals.
My particular favourite is the glorious green snake on the Leziz variety.
The next thing I was curious about were the names of the snacks, take Leziz I had a look at the website and read that its taken from the Middle eastern dish of the same name and has a taste to put you in mind of the tastes and flavours, so you have sweet almonds, lemon chilli and pinenuts.
They taste so good, puts me in mind of a lamb tagine , its sweet but with a fiery taste. Very cleverly put together to bring the middle eastern flavours.
I tried Aroi which is a word in Thailand and eating this snack again brings you a flavour of the country.
Cashew, lemongrass sweet pineapple and a spicy ginger kick.
These are fantastic with an Asian beer we tried them with Chang.
Sabroso is straight from the American Southwest and the flavours are smoky and sweet. There is papaya, mango, gorgeous macadamia and hazelnuts. The smoky taste is chipotle chilli and cumin. The flavours work so well.
Its lovely to have something new to snack on, the flavours are so distinct of the countries that inspire the taste and I would love to see more varieties coming soon. Maybe some European nut blends.
Very impressed and intend to get some for Christmas.
