PROVAMEL ‘BOTANICAL’ YOGURT Review

Health foods that taste so good  they should be bad for you, was my immediate thought when trying the new Provamel Botanicals range.
Lets face it we are talking soya, green tea, fibre, balm!!
With words like these I was ready for a healthy food, hoping for some taste, definitely not expecting a taste explosion on my tongue.

OK Provamel do have an advantage with me and my citrus passion, but I was surprised to find a creamy light very smooth almost dessert product. The lime is perfect, not too acrid, it has a fresh zestiness and just is bliss to eat!

The Apple Green Tea  is good enough to sit in the evening and devour whilst watching a DVD, it too has that treat factor!! Lovely pieces of apple and smooth and creamy. yoghurt by name and a pudding by taste.

On top of all this healthy, what a winner, Provamel  say in their mission statement
"Not surprisingly, our mission is to get the whole world eating and enjoying soya"
Surprisingly for me they have done it!!
I will leave Provamel to tell you all the health benefits, I have a date with their Botanicals!!

Provamel uses the goodness of the whole soya bean to ensure you get the best of the nutrient-rich, organic soya beans it uses. The beans are a great source of protein, soluble fibre and vitamins.
For those with lactose intolerance or cows’ milk protein allergy, soya is dairy-free and as a result, completely suitable to consume. More and more people with and without allergies are including soya in their diet in order to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Yogurt fanatics will be excited by the launch of Provamel’s new ‘botanical’ range; a radical fusion of natural herbal remedies muddled with delicious fruits, which not only taste great, but are the first of their kind thanks to the unique combination of ingredients.

Hitting the shelves just in time to ramp-up summer-well being, there are two new dairy-free yogurts in the ‘botanical’ range, including: Apple Green Tea (500g) and Lime Lemon Balm (500g) with another flavour set to be added later this year.

High in antioxidants, green tea is widely known for its ability to boost metabolism, whilst lemon balm has long been recognised as a great reliever of tension.

Low in fat and rich in plant protein, these botanical-based soya yogurts are packed with aromatic herbs with health benefits all of their own, combined with a mouth-watering flavour brought to life by ripe apples, zesty limes and plump juicy plums.

The new ‘Botanical’ range will be available at Holland and Barrett and all major health food stores, with an RRP of £1.55.
The additions complement the existing range of soya products in the Provamel range, which includes soya milks, soya shakes, chocolate and vanilla desserts, cream and custards.
