Fiskars Classic Kitchen and Food Scissors Review

Take the strain out of cooking a classic Full English breakfast as I did during Farmhouse breakfast Week. I received  pair of Fiskars Classic Kitchen and Food scissors for review and they make short work of most food chopping.

I recently reviewed Denhay Bacon and when making a Spaghetti Carbonara and having to chop the bacon, as usual I struggled.
I used to put myself through more than necessary cutting with rather blunt knives back in the days when first setting up home. Once we got on our financial feet, we started to buy better knives it was still fiddly cutting bacon as its quite slippery.

Chris then a non cook, (Now he thinks he is a cross between Jamie Oliver, keeps saying Delish to wind me up and the language of Mr Gordon Ramsay) said one day "Why don't you use scissors?"

Now I have a drawer of useful kitchen gadgets they are a bit of an addiction, I have been cooking quite well for decades and  had never thought to use scissors. I know you are all sniggering and thinking "What a fool!"

So I started using scissors but not the best in the world. Chris also uses scissors to cut pizza, it really works so well.

I was sent Fiskars Classic Kitchen and Food Scissors and am in rapture, they are sharp, cut so easily through yes bacon, rind off a rather plump set of pork chops and tackled stewing beef with ease.

There's even a Left-Handed version of these popular Kitchen and Food Scissors, still at the same price, for all 'south-paws' too!

When they came to cutting through packets it was a breeze. Its silly really but when you get a good quality tool, you wondered why you went so long without them. For me these scissors are just that.

I went to look Fiskars up online as I always do, they have been around for 360 years actually one of the oldest businesses in the western world. I was thinking they just made dressmaking scissors in the main and I was surprised to see that they make a whole range of kitchen utensils, whisks cheese graters, corkscrews. They even make icing bags.
On a larger scale they make saucepans and cutlery.
I am very taken aback by this company and very impressed.
