I am a convert not to Tilda, I already use it but I always cook my rice from scratch. I had lessons from my Anglo Indian friend and I can confidently cook any rice.
Years ago I tried a sachet of rice I cannot remember the brand and it was not pleasant. lumpy very dry and tasted plastic like. So I have never tried again.
Tilda sent me the newest of their range and its strange as I have not tried the others but that's going to change.
The consistency of both rices were light, fluffy and just soft enough.
The Sweet Chilli and Lime, I served with a Thai Green Curry and it was the perfect accompaniment, the sweet flavour cooled down the curry but at the same time I still had the chilli kick.
Whats brilliant is that they cook in record time, they are part steamed so take only two minutes and thank you Tilda, no pans.
Are you smiling and rolling your eyes because you have been using them for years?
Served with beef, chorizo and potao goulash
The Wholemeal Pilau was my favourite, light much better than when i cook it, also good as Chris and Conor are not keen on brown rice, so I do not tend to buy for just Paige and I, but I will be able to indulge my liking for the nuttier more wholesome rice.
