Genki Haramaki Review

I wanted to review something I had heard about as being great for circulation the Genki Haramaki and have since found that as a product it has health benefits beyond those I had first looked it up for.

Regular readers of the blog will have read before that I suffer from Raynaud's condition albeit mildly as some sufferers have it in their entire hand, foot nose and ears.

In this condition, the blood supply to the extremities, usually the fingers and toes but sometimes also the ears and nose, is interrupted. During an attack they become first white and dead looking. They may then turn blue and finally red and burning when the blood flow is restored. There may be considerable pain, numbness or tingling. This happens indoors as well.

I have a number of natural methods including heated hand warmers, the Veintain and waving my arms in a mad windmill fashion, all work but I need as much help as I can get.  I shied away from the Dr's suggestion of heart tablets!!!!

The  Genki Haramaki is one more and happily I have noticed an improvement. Its like wearing gloves without having to and as somebody who's teeth set on edge with woolly items,  plus socks and gloves are not altogether practical indoors.

My granny and the older generation when I was a child were always talking about keeping the kidneys warm and it seems they were right.

I suffer with quite bad period pains so am hoping for relief there too, I imagine the warmth created will ease pain.

I also read that Dr Wei-Xiong Chen, a leading practitioner in Traditional Chinese Medicine says poor circulation caused by the cold can thin the womb lining, leading to painful periods and infertility."The unhealthy environment inside the womb is the biggest factor behind infertility in modern society."
As well as the help our haramaki may provide in conceiving, it's snug, elasticated fit provides excellent support for pregnancy bumps.

Swaddling your tummy during this important time keeps the uterus (know in TMC as the 'Palace of the Child' a safe and warm place for your baby to grow.

Oh and it looks rather funky under a short t shirt can jazz up an outfit and be a cover up for those maybe with a tummy they like to keep under wraps.
The haramaki is a traditional Japanese garment worn to around the abdomen to maintain warmth and well-being. The haramaki dates from samurai times, and still widely-worn in Japan during the colder months.

Winner of Best New Product at camexpo 2010, the Genki haramaki offers a modern interpretation, featuring a snugly-fitting, double-layered design. Two sizes fit all, and there are nine  colours available. It costs £19.99

Wear at home to relax, in bed for more restful sleep, or during sports and outdoor activities to avoid chills. Our haramaki uses only the softest cotton, gentle enough to be worn directly against the skin, or as a stylish outer layer.

Keeping the abdominal organs warm helps the body distribute warmth and energy all-round. Circulation is improved, so even hands and feet feel warmer.

Wearing the haramaki can also:

- Aid digestion
- Ease menstrual cramps
- Give support during and post-pregnancy
- Soothe common abdominal ailments
