If my mum saw me writing a feature about vegetables and my love of them, she would possibly fall off the chair she was seated on. As a child I point blank refused to eat anything that looked, was called or even I believed was a vegetable.
Now I adore the taste and versatility of my greens (plus oranges and purples) and due to a rather fabulous win a while ago of a years organic veg box, I had the opportunity to try new ones and some old favourites.
I recently reviewed cake by James McIntosh read here and loved the fact that its a little pocket book and as I flicked through the recipes just seem so easy, I commented then was not sure if the compact book made it appear easy
and happily the results of my cake making were simple and more importantly tasty.

About the Author
Food is all James McIntosh has ever known. Having grown up on a farm in Northern Ireland and studied Home Economics to Masters level, it was inevitable that his love of food would become his vocation.
In 2004, at the age of 26, James set up ‘Whisk’ (the only Home Economics Consultancy in the UK) to provide support and advice to manufacturers, retailers
and distributors of food and kitchen products. James has previously worked for the Le Cordon Bleu cookery schools and the Good Housekeeping Institute.
