Mrs Crimbles Pancake Mix Review

Hands up who is excited for Pancake day, I as you will have gathered get very daft over most high days and holidays and tomorrow we will all be flipping pancakes and making wishes (read below regarding the wish)
I do have some pancakes land on the floor thing its all part of the fun, will it or won't it.
Paige always bottles out of tossing one, Conor has to be warned not to try and hit the ceiling.

Three things you might not know about Pancake Day:

The oldest pancake race in Britain, in the village of Olney in Buckinghamshire, dates back to 1444. The event originated after a local housewife was still busy making pancakes when she heard the church bells calling her to the Shriving Service on the evening before Lent. Eager to get to church, she ran out of her house still holding the frying pan complete with her pancake, still wearing her apron and headscarf – both of which are mandatory for anyone taking part in the race today!

Folklore claims that if you make a wish at the moment you flip a pancake it will come true – but only if you are also holding a coin in your hand.

Pancakes have a long history in almost every part of the world. For example, they were an important part of pagan traditions and feasts in Russia that stretch back more than 1,000 years.

Another thing you may not know is that people with a gluten or wheat allergy need not go without and even better than gluten free flour they can buy a pancake mix that is fast and easy to make.

Mrs Crimble’s Pancake Mix guarantees quick, easy and rewarding results. The only challenge will be deciding whether you prefer your pancakes with lemon juice and sugar, chocolate spread and whipped cream, sliced bananas and maple syrup or doused in a flaming orange liqueur!

You’ll find some other great recipe ideas, including a delicious chocolate sauce, on http://www.mrscrimbles.com/.

Better still, they all happen to be gluten free so everyone can enjoy a delicious Shrove Tuesday!

Ok that was quick wasn't it but I put mine in the jug blender and its even less time?
Just blend for 30 seconds.

Even if you don't have to have gluten free these are pretty good, gone are the days of heavy gluten free products we could'nt tell the difference between these and a regular batter and they certainly were light enough to flip. taste I could discern a different taste but not one I could really say was much different and smothered in topping choices not at all.

Oh and how do I have mine, the old fashioned way. lemon and sugar, kids have maple syrup on and Chris eats everybody's!!!

Happy Pancake Day!!
