Pataks always keep bringing out something new be it a recipe, a great new food or a new idea on the website.
The new Pataks Curry Club is really clever, there are recipes from Anjali Pathak and she has a worthy assistant in Druv Baker, wine tips from expert Susy Atkins which for me is essential, I like wine with curry and would like to know which ones work best.
I love the ease of explanation in the cooking and the choices of menu from starter to desserts.
A favourite has to be Indian Scotch Eggs a real spicy starter or main if served with a large salad. You can see the recipe here
”What does your perfect evening entail? For me, it’s all about spending quality time with loved ones. I’d cook up a delicious Indian feast, invite round my closest friends or family and we’d catch-up over of a few glasses of wine.
”This is how my family ensures we don’t lose touch with each other and, in an era where socialising online is threatening to become an acceptable substitute for face-to-face time, we encourage you to do the same. Hosting a relaxed get together with friends, a more formal dinner party or even a supper club, is a great way to keep in touch with people and even grow your social circle along the way. I like to think of this as the new form of clubbing – ‘curry clubbing’!
”To make sure you’re able to follow Patak’s recipe for success I’ve enlisted the help of two industry experts – MasterChef 2010 winner Dhruv Baker and award winning wine critic Susy Atkins. Together we form the Patak’s Taste Panel, ensuring your experience of Indian cuisine remains second to none.
”Crowned winner of BBC One’s MasterChef in April 2010, Dhruv Baker is renowned for his imaginative and exotic spice fusions and will bring a wealth of ideas and cookery expertise to the table. Dhruv moved from Mexico to India when he was only four years old and this is where his passion for Indian food truly blossomed. Recently, Dhruv and I have been very busy developing some new, delicious and exciting Patak’s recipes for you to try yourself.
”Known and respected by the industry and wine and food lovers alike for her easy and accessible approach to wine, Susy Atkins will help strengthen the panel with her wine pairing know-how. We all know that a nice cold beer goes down a treat with a fiery Indian dish but a carefully selected glass of wine can be just as good and satisfying. Susy’s expertise and guidance will unveil perfect wine choices for an array of dishes, drawing out the wonderful spices and flavours associated with Indian cuisine,
”As well as discovering the perfect fomula, Patak’s Supper Clubbing: Hungry for Company Report also revealed that many people are put off cooking up an Indian feast for friends, family or even strangers, because of the time involved and the culinary skill expected by guests.
”So that’s why we’ve just launched our very own online Curry Club, which can be accessed by visiting http://www.pataks.com/. It offers seasoned and aspiring hosts the inspiration they need from mouth-watering recipes to time saving hints and tips. With the help of our Taste Panel members we’ll ensure you’ll always serve up the perfect Indian cuisine every time, freeing up your time to fully enjoy the social aspect of your evening.
”Well, what are you waiting for? Give your friends a call, set a date in your diary and get Curry Clubbing with Patak’s! ”
Anjali Pathak
