LE WHIF BREATHABLE Vitamins, Chocolate and Coffee

This tickled me literally,  it caught slightly in my tonsils it also tickled as it seemed surreal.
If I had  been asked to review Le Whif by a brand new contact, I may not have believed it.
The saying "There is nothing new under the sun" has just been overthrown.

Breathable chocolate!! I received chocolate and raspberry chocolate and had to try immediately. They come in small lipstick sized containers.

It hit my tongue the second time properly in a burst of chocolate almost cocoa like coating and similar to one of those inhalers that beat cravings for cigarettes. It tastes good I can see dieters loving this, a hit of chocolate without the sin and calories....bliss, for the coffee hit I can imagine it would keep a caffeine addict going if unable to get their liquid fix!!

Its sort of science fiction I remeber in old sci fi films the characters would take a pill that was their meal, this is along those lines in a way, so hoping they start some new lines soon. Breathable cream doughnuts, Dominos Pizza, KFC ???anyone

Le Whif, the world’s first “breathable food”, is now available in the UK. Le Whif Chocolate delivers the taste of chocolate with less than one calorie, and Le Whif Coffee provides a caffeine dose equivalent to a small shot of espresso. Both innovations provide consumers a completely new tasting experience by allowing them to breathe in chocolate or coffee through their mouths from a lipstick-style tube inhaler.

Le Whif inventor David Edwards, professor of biomedical engineering at Harvard University and founder of Artscience Labs, says “Le Whif breathable food technology provides British consumers with a new way of eating, by breathing”.

Le Whif contains hundreds of milligrams of tiny food particles. Each Le Whif is fully biodegradable, and allows for eight to ten puffs. "Le Whif is a new approach to eating, by breathing. With Le Whif, we inhale food, like chocolate, into our mouths and taste it, without chewing, to get an experience of flavour without a single calorie," Professor Edwards said.

Professor Edwards explained: “Le Whif uses particle engineering to form chocolate and coffee in microscopic sizes that are small enough to become airborne, though too large to enter the lungs.” Edwards combined his knowledge of aerosol science with the culinary arts by partnering with Michelin-rated French chef Thierry Marx to develop the Le Whif flavours.
Available in four flavours (chocolate, raspberry chocolate, mint chocolate and coffee)

Another interesting addition to Le Whif and one that may be more popular especially for people who have problems swallowing tablets is Le Whif Vitamin.

Le Whif Vitamins, now available in the UK, are set to change the way that supplements are taken forever. The new “breathable vitamins” allow supplements to be absorbed into the blood stream without swallowing, a non-digestive pathway proven more effective for many supplements.

Developed by David Edwards, the Harvard University professor of biomedical engineering who pioneered inhaled insulin, these next generation supplements are a step away from conventional pill supplements towards nutrients being breathed in and absorbed buccally within the mouth instead. The new fully natural ‘breathable vitamins’ - available as Le Whif Antioxidant Green Tea, Le Whif Multivitamin Hibiscus Tea and Le Whif Age Smart Wine Tea (with resveratrol) - skip the digestive phase, which can lead to a more concentrated delivery of vitamins into the blood stream.
Le Whif Vitamin will be exclusively available in the UK from 26th October 2010 on http://www.simplysupplements.co.uk/. The UK product launch is coordinated with the new “I Love Le Whif” program, available via http://www.lewhif.com/, where customers can receive monthly boxes of Le Whif Vitamin, and other Whif products, free of shipping charges. Le Whif has a suggested retail price of £5.99 for a three-pack.
